Dragonfly Health Centre is entering a new chapter.

The name Dragonfly was chosen for its beautiful symbolism. The dragonfly represents transformation, a change of perspective, new beginnings and the courage to move beyond what is familiar. It navigates with elegance and grace, reminding us that change can be both powerful and beautiful.

After three years in Siem Reap, Cambodia, Dragonfly Health Centre is now spreading its wings beyond Cambodia. From November onwards, I will be taking Dragonfly on the road, offering teaching, coaching, treatments and healing sessions in the Netherlands and across Europe.

The essence remains the same: creating space for transformation, deeper connection and a greater sense of balance in body, mind and soul.

Sometimes a new path simply begins by seeing life from a different perspective.

Welcome to Dragonfly Health Centre

I will continue to welcome clients in Siem Reap until October 10th, 2026. From November 2026 onwards, Dragonfly Health Centre will continue its journey in the Netherlands and Europe

Whether you are looking for support with physical complaints, want to improve your movement and wellbeing, or are seeking greater balance in body, mind, and soul, I am here to support and guide you on your journey.

My name is Miriam, and I was born in the Netherlands in 1977.
After completing my studies in movement kinetic technology in The Hague, I decided in 2002 to take a more hands-on approach to helping people with musculoskeletal issues and began studying physiotherapy in Utrecht.
I graduated in 2004 and worked as a physiotherapist in Austria and Switzerland, gaining experience in a spa, private practice, and a large hospital, where I worked in traumatology, neurology, orthopaedics, and paediatrics.
Over the years, I became increasingly interested in looking beyond physical symptoms and understanding the person as a whole. This led me to study Eastern medicine, including jin shin jyutsu, as well as NLP and various specialised physiotherapy techniques. After returning to the Netherlands in 2012, I continued my professional development with training in mulligan manual therapy, multiple sclerosis, mylogenics, visceral therapy, and dry needling. From 2018 to 2023, I studied osteopathy at College Sutherland in Amsterdam.
During my osteopathy studies, I fell in love with Cambodia. At the end of 2023, I moved to Siem Reap and opened Dragonfly Health Centre. These three years have been an important chapter in my personal and professional journey. I deepened my practice of Jin Shin Jyutsu, trained in Akashic Healing, and explored new ways of working with the body, emotions, energy, and soul.
Teaching also became an important part of my work. In Cambodia, I have taught physiotherapy, akashic healing, and especially jin shin jyutsu. Sharing knowledge and helping others develop their own skills has become a meaningful part of what I do.
After three beautiful years in Siem Reap, I now feel called to return to the Netherlands. I will continue to combine my experience in physiotherapy, osteopathy, and jin shin jyutsu with coaching and akashic healing. Alongside hands-on treatments, I will offer training courses, coaching and akashic healing both face-to-face and online.
My aim is to support people in understanding their body, themselves, and the patterns that may be holding them back, creating space for greater awareness, balance, and personal transformation.
I am fluent in English, German, and Dutch.

Treatment Methods

When you come to the centre for a physical treatment, Miriam will begin with an intake and a full-body examination, including muscle tests and pulse diagnosis. This helps identify the root cause of your symptoms and determine the best approach to guide your mind and body in the right direction.

During these treatments, Miriam integrates her diverse knowledge, offering nutritional advice, and transformational coaching techniques if needed to support and enhance your healing journey.

Osteopathy is a form of manual therapy that focuses on improving the body's overall function. It’s based on the principle that the body’s system: muscles, bones, joints, nerves, organs, and connective tissues are interconnected, and that proper alignment is key to maintaining health. At Dragonfly Health Centre, we use adjustments and gentle hands-on techniques to relieve pain, improve mobility, and support the body’s natural healing abilities. Osteopathy is effective in treating conditions such as back pain, headaches, injuries, digestive issues, and stress-related problems.
For the body to function optimally, there must be good interplay between muscles, joints, and connective tissues. Physiotherapy is a form of healthcare that focuses on improving the body’s overall function, managing pain, and restoring mobility. At Dragonfly Health Centre, we use a combination of joint manipulations, mobilizations, and techniques targeting the fascia, such as deep connective tissue massage, mylogenics ( passive & active release techniques), and dry needling. These approaches help relieve pain, improve movement, and support the body’s natural healing abilities.
Physiotherapy is effective for treating conditions such as neck and back pain, sports injuries, joint problems, pre- & post-surgery rehabilitation, and mobility issues.
According to ancient written records, Jin Shin Jyutsu was widely known before the birth of Buddha in India and before the birth of Moses, and so is more than 3000 years old.
Jin Shin Jyutsu is the Art of releasing tensions which are the causes for various symptoms in the body. This art promotes the alignment and balance of body, mind and soul guiding them to a more harmonious state of being. Every human body contains several energy pathways and safety energy locks ( SEL’s) that bring life into every cell. When one or more of these paths or SEL’s become blocked, this damming effect may lead to discomfort or even pain. This stagnation will not only cause disharmony locally, but can block several pathways throughout the body.
The Art of Jin Shin can be easily practiced on oneself. As a matter of fact, it is an integral part of the art. It works best if you treat yourself and let yourself be treated. During the treatment, the recipient is resting fully clothed.
Akashic Healing is a practice that addresses the emotional, spiritual, and energetic imbalances within a person. The soul can be understood as a unique combination of energies, originating from a larger energetic form, which manifests in the physical body. Over multiple lifetimes, the energetic essence of the soul can become affected by the experiences it has lived, carrying unresolved energies and blockages.
At Dragonfly Health Centre, during a Akashic Healing session, we access the Akashic Records to uncover the root cause of the issues you're facing in this lifetime. By healing these past energetic imprints, we work to release blockages, restore balance, and support your overall well-being.
Akashic Healing is beneficial for those seeking to resolve emotional wounds, release past trauma, or gain deeper clarity and connection to their true self. It promotes emotional peace, spiritual growth, and healing on a profound level.

If you ‘re seeking a profound transformation on a journey towards better health, and inner harmony, you may choose to select the 10 sessions of Jin Shin Jyutsu healing intensive experience.

In 5 consecutive days we will work twice a day for an hour to move through layers of release.

If you are not living in Siem Reap and are staying in a guesthouse/hotel take some extra time and enjoy the rich Khmer culture by exploring the beautiful city as well as surroundings near Angkor Wat and Kulen mountain. The first day will only be a late afternoon/ evening session and the last day only a morning session.

We start with an intake to get a clear understanding of your needs and if you want more depth you can add one other treatment for free!

All treatment sessions except Akashic Healing
Prices start at $25 for a 30-minute session. Each additional 15 minutes is $10. To start off well, the first session is always at least 1 hour ($45). An additional $10 fee applies for appointments in the evening or on weekends
